The central locking works manualy with no problems, but i wanted to get it to work remotely. I brought a new battery for the key fob and still the central locking did not work. I  decided to follow some advice id seen while browsing the internet.

1.1-test the opening of the doors of the skoda fabia with the key. First try the central locking. To do this press the key of your car. Observe if the malfunction is general. That is, do you have a single door stuck or several. If this is verified then there is a good chance that the dysfunction comes from the centralization.

Let's see how the hood of the C4 is unlocked. We pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then, slightly raise the engine hood and unlock the hood with the lever. Once the engine hood is unlocked, lift it up and secure it with the locking rod. To close the hood, we remove the safety rod and drop the hood down from a minimum

Connect your Citroen C4 Picasso to a running car to transfer energy and recharge your vehicle’s battery. This will at least give you enough power to close the doors of your car. If you have any uncertainties about your battery’s ability to keep the charge. Make sure you close the doors of your car while it is still connected to the other car.
I have been having the exact same problem with my C4GP 1.6 HDI Exclusive 2008 41k (bought only 5 weeks ago). It is due to go in to be looked at by a Citroen dealer (Arbury walsall) tomorrow.
Just bought a C4 Picasso 11 plate. Got it home and used the fob to central lock the car. Just happend to try the drivers door to check it was locked and it wasnt. In fact opening the door unlocked all the doors. It will lock them all with the key inserted. iYsREc.
